The "magical" phenomenon
As everyone else predict, (and I would agree) 9 months from now the baby-dumping phenomenon will becoming a hit, again.
Although most of us can already figured it out, and JAKIM, JAIS etc are
doing their best to become UNFAITHFUL to the VERSE 12 from surah
AL-HUJURAAT, still we are going with the same old same old way. We
critics the couples, and we condemn their ignorance. We showed to them
our holier than thou attitude, and we hope that this symptom will be stopped.
But does it really solve the problem? No.
Have we ever asked ourselves, what can we do as a community to stop
this problem? Yes, the problem occurs because of our youth's ignorance
of their religion. But that doesn't means that we are innocence. In
fact, we as a community are guilty too. Why? Because, indirectly we are
also the one effect them to do the sin.
Let's put aside about
their sex's desire, iman, religion's education and so on. And put us
inside the problem. What is wrong with our community?
Here is the list :
1) Sex education
-The unsolved problem for a very long time.
-It is taboo to talk about sex in front of our children. So parents say, they will learned about this in school.
-Yet it is not in our school syllabus, so what the heck, why would teacher teach their students?
2) Marriage & Future
-We scared our youth about their future more than anything else.
-And most of the time, we scare them about marriage. It is like
marriage is a time bomb. When you married, you die. Too much
responsibility, too much money needed, and boom. You have no time to
enjoy anymore.
3) Superbly difficult to married
- 'Wang hantaran'
- Salary, kursus kahwin.
- HIV test
- Majlis kenduri
4) Any person who have a baby born out of wedlock will be thrown out of family.
- So, better dump the baby
- Shouldn't family and we as a community guided and help them?
- There is no easy way to get rid of the baby, so better dump him/her somewhere.
So, this is a list of mindset that we need to change. You might say
that it is irrelevance to the topic, but believe me, this is the one
that leads to the baby-dumping phenomenon.
Stop accusing the teenagers and start doing your responsibility.
